We just did not appear to read the pitch as well as Pakistan did. We definitely needed to play 2 frontline spinners for that pitch. Additionally, we had injuries to two players during the match and a couple others came in with injuries. This injury situation to me is something that needs to be addressed. Shows that our frontline players are in their 30s and are so more injury prone. This match was a bit of a series of unfortunate events but shows the value of winning the first test to ensure that there is some safety margin and also the value of having a balanced bowling attack, which is why Lyons is always picked for Oz nws their fantastic fast bowling attack.

How Ravi misread a bowling pitch?

Ravi the Trini

Ravi the inside man on what Ralphie was doing ( not what he intended to do)

Ravi only reserved for the successes?

Monday morning quarterbacking at its best.

#1 - Pakistan had to chase the game. They were down 0-1 and also had to make changes due to injury.

#2 - WI just need to avoid defeat and this may have been the biggest misstep by the selector. Stubbornness to continue playing Chase who he knew couldn’t bowl. Insisted on playing the same XI as at Tarouba. Had nothing to do with “reading the pitch”. EVERYBODY KNOWS HOW THE QPO PITCH PLAYS FROM SINCE METHUSELAH WAS A BOY. Arrogance and ignorance has severe consequences.

#3 Nobody could have foreseen the injuries to Greaves and King. That was just bad luck. The loss of Greaves in the bowling department shows just how important he has become to the balance of the bowling attack.

#4 Ultimately, this was a fair result (1-1 series) AND INDICATOR of 2 EVENLY MATCHED teams who are where they are in the test rankings for a good reason.

If you TRULY BELIEVE that Ravi determines who plays in the starting XI, there’s a luxury condo in Beetham for sale with your name on reserve.

@imusic

Seriously feel Sammy will ask Ravi. The same way he asks Dataram.

You know and I know that Sammy is no Malcolm Marshall or Richie Benaud… so he needs to get Information from somewhere. Unlike VOR, Sammy cannot trust no process because he knows there is no damn process. It’s hit and hope. It’s win toss bowl first no questions asked.

So I believe he will give them man enough rope to be able to heng dem and live to fight his own self another day. Sammy brother blindsight and Sammy cousin Edrich give the game away every day.

I will take that condo in the Beetham- investments are long term…once UNC finish with their manifesto promise, aye let me hush…

@Halliwell

Dummy only listen to his fake Dataram....

Remember...A captain removed from T-20 captaincy.....after he took on field decision...... divergent from Dataram & Dummy... although the match and series was won....

The biggest drawback....this management...

They ... can't diverge...

Ravi...a newbie in coaching field....can surely give bowling advices but strategy....only Dummy and Dataram....
