West Indies Bowling Attack

Thu, Aug 6, '26 at 8:00 AM

Carlos Brathwaithe said West Indies has one of the best bowling attacks in the world. I disagree, in my view we have the potential to be one of the best attacks. However, right now the bowling unit is still a work in progress.The best possible pieces are still being put together to create the finished product.

I think Carlos has a point, the main word was " one " of the best. When the WI batters make over 300 runs the bowlers usually make the WI competitive with any team.

@Fivestar

"One of the" is correct an right!

@dayne

Do you have any specific examples of this?

@Fivestar

I would agree with Carlos

At the minute, it does

When Roach goes then let's see how the West Indies get on with Alzarri, Shields or whoever else comes in to replace him.

It would be good if a couple of more pacers could step up or at least see a return to form for Chemar and Oshane.

@WICFan

In my view, Keemo is the next in line and I rate him above either Chemar or Shields as a bowler.

@imusic

Yes, the win over Australia in Australia close to two years ago, the first inning score was around 300, the wins over Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, the first innings scores were all over 300, the draw against NZ the 2nd inning score was over 400. If the WI batters become a little more consistent the bowlers will make the team a top team in world cricket.
