There are teams that have already played 5 or 6 matched while a couple on played 2 matches.

Coming to the back end of the tournament the Tridents and the Warriors will play most of their matches at home which allows them to better assess match situations and know exactly what they need to do in those circumstances as per their standings on the points table.

In my opinion this is unfair to the other teams ..... but i guess this comes down to the money factor again

'Home' advantage doesn;t seem to be working to date...see table.

With some many veteran CPL players playing....they all know the conditions at every ground on the schedule

Happy that the semis and finals will be played at Kensington so spin may not be a major factor.

they need to mix it up so that in alternate years, southern Caribbean plays first. I agree that the teams that play home matches last have some advantage as well as being generally the two strongest teams on paper generally.

Inter Island travel is too expensive unfortunately and not to mention the crowds are massively larger in the southern Caribbean!!!

The economics is the reason for this. Having teams go back and forth would be quite costly and a logistical nightmare for TV crew. Ideally with 7 teams in the competition they should be playing 12 games each but are instead playing only 10, so they cutting costs there as well.

I heard that T20 is the real deal and the money maker which is even compensating for test cricket, so cost should not be a factor .....

The cost to move players, equipment, and personnel from one territory to the next is expensive so having teams host their home games in blocks is the most cost effective way.

As for an advantage, there have been 6 different winners the last 6 years.

Just by looking at the teams pte tournament we can see who are the favorites to make the playoffs. This would happen regardless of the schedule.
