It does not get much tougher than losing a cricket match by seven runs due to rain, but that is precisely the cruel reality defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders must now shake off. With their worst start to a Caribbean Premier League campaign in more than a decade threatening to derail their title defense, the Knight Riders desperately need a change of results when they face near neighbors but keen rivals Guyana Amazon Warriors at the Queen’s Park Oval from 5 p.m. this afternoon.

The defending champs end their home leg of the tournament on Wednesday against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, also at the Oval, from 7 p.m.

TKR have endured a difficult tournament so far, with just two wins from six matches, leaving them fifth in the standings and currently outside the playoff spots. They will need to rediscover the consistency that has made them the CPL’s most successful franchise quickly.

We should have toss any moment but I guess it might be delayed. Half the ground almost had covers on few minutes back. But we will wait for the final update. And Lahiru Kumara has joined TKR but not sure if he will play today. He had a gruelling role to play against India in the two Tests that was played recently.
