18:21 Local Time, 22:21 GMT, 03:51 IST: We have lost almost an hour of play already and we feel there is still some time left for action to take place. So, we do feel that there might be some overs reduced. They are taking off the covers layer by layer as the super sopper tries to soak out standing water on top of the sheets. Only one cover remains to be dragged off. That's the centre one. Once this comes off, we will have a start time I am sure! A rope being dragged across the ground as well.

18:34 Local Time, 22:34 GMT, 04:04 IST: Almost all the covers have disappeared. One one white sheet remains. The ropes and the super sopper working overtime now. There seems to be a spring in the stride of the groundsmen. Kudos to them for being so vigilant in tough conditions.

Don't think that brief spell of rain would have affected the outfield much. The stumps being erected. Can't be too far from resumption of play. We will have an official word at 07:00 PM Local.
