That was farcical! Agreed they arrived at the right decision eventually but how they did is ridiculous. You don't give a Man out thenget bullied by the coach and the fans to overturn your decision. Add to that JC had already reached the dugout and Fletch had replaced him at the crease. JC had 26 at the time and now has 71* off 36 so this will be talked about for the rest of the week.

Yes, that was absolutely dreadful officiating. Hopefully, they'll analyse this debacle, figure out what went wrong and make corrections so something like this doesn't happen again.

So they have now set a precedent for anyone who has been given out, and has walked back into the pavilion, to then subsequently review the replays and lodge a protest to have the 'out' decision reversed.

Charles was in the pavilion and the new batter was at the crease after the on-field out was given. To me, he's 'out' by every definition in the laws of the game.

That was done because the England captain recalled Kalli to essentially resume his innings the following day. He hadn't walked into the pavilion after being given out and replaced by the new batter.

What happened last night was just patent incompetence by the officials and a total disregard for the laws of the game.

And, it set a very bad precedent.
