Saint Lucia Kings have won the toss and have opted to bat

Imran Tahir - We have our standards and we need to be hard on ourselves. We were at 100 after 10 overs, but the middle-order needs to step up. But we've played good cricket and I back my players to come back. We had a good rest, both batting and bowling; we need to show a good punch. We've got Mehidy and Glenn, a straight swap for Nabi and Gurbaz. Wishing them good luck wherever they're playing. Glenn is a good world-class batter; Mehidy has been really good recently. We need to carry on our good work.

Roston Chase - We are going to bat. We what to put up a big total, put them under pressure and restrict them. The main thing is to control the powerplay with both batting and bowling. Any time is a good time, it's a do-or-die time for us. We have just one change. Just get a good start during the powerplay and then perform well towards the end, that's where we've faltered.

The weather forecast is fine with a minimal chance of rain. We're playing on the same surface as last night. 64m square boundaries, 74m straight. A nice breeze is coming in.The pitch looks similar: bare ends at both sides and a lot of grass in the middle of the pitch. Genuine pace bowlers will like these conditions, but runs are on offer as well, reckons Samuel Badree, in his pitch report.

2.1

Dwaine Pretorius to Tim Seifert, out Lbw!! A big shout and Tim Seifert has been given OUT LBW. He has a chat with his partner, both look unsure and they'll not review. The nip-backer and Seifert was caught in the crease. Stayed a fraction low and the right-hander ended up playing all around it, was struck in front of middle and leg, would've at worst clipped the leg-stump. A big wicket for the Warriors with the in-form Seifert departing early.

Tim Seifert lbw b Dwaine Pretorius 4(5)

2.6

Dwaine Pretorius to Kamil Pooran, FOUR, back-to-back boundaries for Pooran, this is even better - fraction fuller from Pretorius, but there's width on offer and that allows Pooran to make room and hammer the drive through extra-cover - made room by staying leg-sided and then swung through the line

2.5

Dwaine Pretorius to Kamil Pooran, FOUR, cracking shot, width on offer and Pooran doesn't miss out - drills it on the rise and flays the drive over the leaping Phillips at cover-point

Wed, Sep 9, '26 at 7:17 PM

3.3

Khary Pierre to Kamil Pooran, SIX, massive, that's very high and it goes well past the boundary ropes - tossed up on middle and leg, Pooran stays leg-sided and that aloows him to swing his arms on the shovel, got plenty of height, but left the fielder in the deep a mere spectator

The Warriors should throw this match for spite and reduce the chance of a certain other team squeaking in ....😊
