Just looked at his career stats 25 FC matches , with 2 x 100 and 12x 50 and averaging 38.21. Then in white ball he has 37 LIST A and 49 T20S so he has played a lot more cricket than our players around that age. Auguste at 23 has played 25 FC matches and 42 T20S, 33 LIST A matches.

It has to do with our training and lack of proper facilities to prepare the youth for a career in cricket. Take India as an example. Their youngsters play much more cricket and have a world class infrastructure to get the best out of them. Until we can take a leaf out of the book of successful teams, our players will continue to struggle as their talent is not being nutured.
