was the first and surely would not be the last. One of the under analyzed causes of our decline is poor umpiring, many with decisions that changed the course of matches: Lara be given out with a grounded catch when he was pummeling Australia in the first test of the 1995 series, Ian Healy running out Lara with the ball airborne in 1999 at QPO in the first test, the amount of times we had Kallis out plumb early and he was never given, Gayle being dismissed with what was supposed to be a free hit in the 2029 World Cup etc
