Over the past few days some interesting statements were made by players regarding the involvement of the President and the GAW franchise.
- Hety stated in an interview that the President had a meeting with the entire team and then called him the next morning to give batting advise. (No major issues here)
But yesterday, Tahir stated in a press conference that his return to the franchise next year is up to the team management, owners and President. (I am assuming he meant the President of Guyana, because GAW franchise does not have one)
Is the GOG directly involved in the administration of the GAW team or decision making?
I know ICC got issues with these things when it comes to national boards.. but does it filter down to franchise cricket? Or its free for all at that level?
