South Africa has had the number on this particular Australian side for a decade:beat them in Australia in 2016, beat them in SA in 2018(sandpapergate), lost to them on deliberately dead wickets during the pandemic(Australia made over 450 and 550 ) and were totally exposed by Rabada and co in the WTC final. This is a lineup that struggled badly to make runs against our pace attack at home and abroad and struggled to score against a Bangladesh attack starved of its best fast bowler. I predicting Australia won’t win a test and they’re not going to win more than one odi….if any

South Africa may have had their number as you say but the reality is that the Australians are more consistent against other teams especially at tournaments where they continue to win championships, unlike South Africa. Oz is a team in transition and the system is resilient and resourceful so if they drop off it won't be a calamitous drop at least not for long.

What transition? The same dudes SA played in the wtc final, 2022, 2018 and 2016 are is the same side they’re playing this year almost to a man. Save, khawaja and Warner. The transition argument is like India saying they were in transition after they got whitewashed at home with kohli, sharma, bumrah, jadeja and ashwin

Yes and you will be cheering them on. West Indies can take Oz now in Test cricket as our batting is more settled than it was when we last met. Our bowling is already on par with the best.

Over the last decade the two mainstays of Australia's batting have been Smith and Warner not to be mistaken with Smith and Wesson. Until they can produce players of that can kind of standing they are in transition. Oh yeah Khwajah was good too but not in the class of the aforementioned.
