Because cricket is a game that is more than just your needs. It was like the Rapture this morning when WI made a below par score but because it was the best ever, it was intoxicating for some.

Ravi rampaul usefulness has ran its course. His bowling experience is beneath all the current bowlers, except lawes. He spent more time on the disabled list, than playing.

Dragged short but that is the thing with wrist spinners, such deliveries bring them wickets, Rohit rocks back and pulls to deep mid-wicket. Not off the middle and Carty comes in, tries to take it low and makes a mess. They dropped a couple in the first ODI as well and it cost them, this might too. Rohit was on his haunches thinking he was a goner but started running as soon as Carty grassed the catch

This is all on the bowlers.
No one in the group is creative enough to find a way of limiting the batsmen? Not the fast bowlers, not the spinners. Both of these games were winnable on merit of the scores.
At that rate Shubman Gill will set a world record with centuries in One Day games against Worst Indies.
110 and 223 not out will make for a healthy average.

Yuh could bring 100 of the best bowlers and coaches and you could still lose that match. West Indies score was under par. India proved that. Seales and co look world class on pitches with some assitance. This here was a graveyard wicket for fast bowlers. In white ball cricket, the ball does nothing after 5 overs on flat tracks. You need world class spin to squeeze wickets out. Even Jadeja and Kuldeep went for plenty. This came down to who could out bat each other. West Indies needed like 80 mores to stay in the contest for the full 50 and even that may have only been a psychological hurdle for India.
