December 5, 2024 was the last time a competitive men's T20 match was played at this venue, with Gujarat scoring 251 against Karnataka in the SMAT. "You don't shrug off any defeat. If you want to keep improving, you don't want to put anything under the carpet. We are a world champion team, so we want to keep improving. And obviously these are toughconditions to bowl. We know that flat wickets with the dew, obviously it's tough. But we need to figure out the way...to try and stop the opposition" - Gautam Gambhir, India head coach.

Pitch Report | Daren Ganga and Abhinav Mukund: In Madhya Pradesh at the Holkar Stadium, here for this third match of the five-match series between the West Indies and India. Now it's nice and warm as we get deeper into the night. It's the center pitch being used, and watch the boundary dimensions. Bowlers, look away, cover your eyes, cover your ears, because down the ground it's 72, square equidistance only 63, and behind the stumps 55 meters. So batters will enjoy this opportunity

Shai Hope: I think we all know what I am going to do, so we are going to bowl first again. It's going to be challenging when you are playing all three formats. Just about learning as quickly as possible in these conditions. We always know that catches determine a lot of games. Romario is okay but he is resting. Keemo Paul is in for Akeal.

Shreyas Iyer: The dew factor played a massive role in the previous game, on a given day it happens you need to have that mindset to put it behind. It's important that we adapt and assess quickly to get to a commendable total. Shivam Dube out, Nitish in. Kuldeep out and Prince Yadav in. Given the dimensions we made those changes and we also needed someone who can hit the yorkers.
