What to expect: Local boy Tilak Varma admitted he was unsure how the new pitch in Hyderabad would behave. However, the venue holds happy memories for India's batters, who piled up their highest T20I total of 297 against Bangladesh here two years ago. It is a reminder of the scoring potential on offer, and perhaps an ominous one for bowlers, where they have had little to work with.

India have won the toss and have opted to field

Shai Hope:

[On whether he would also have chosen to bowl first] Yeah, similar to Shreyas, we would have fielded.

[On the approach for the must-win match after two close games] As you say, it's a must-win game to give ourselves a chance in this series.

Two changes. (Kamil) Pooran is out. Jewel Andrew comes in for his first game on the tour and (Romario) Shepherd comes back for (Quentin) Sampson.

Shreyas Iyer: We are going to bowl first.

[On the relaid surface and the reason for bowling first] Yeah, exactly, that's one of the major reasons. We have a fair idea about how it's playing in the first innings. So based on that, we took this decision.

[On the groundsman's assessment of the pitch and the expected conditions] He said that it's 75% red and 25% black and we've played on such wickets before. But obviously looking at the conditions and dew not coming into play, it is going to be a little bit of intense and see there's going to be bounce as well to offer because I saw the surface. It's pretty hard.

[On the team combination for the conditions] We're going with the same team.

Arshdeep Singh to Jewel Andrew, SIX, what a blow that is. He is a talent for sure. Arshdeep Singh comes over the wicket and it's a length delivery on off, such a clean heave over mid-wicket and it's all the way. Jewel Andrew getting forward and smashing it. Right off the middle of the bat
