sorry bro. love your articles, but I can't agree with this. Cricket in the West Indies has been in decline since the IMF structural adjustment programs made the act of getting cricket equipment for individuals and organizations difficult. Yet still we weren't getting bowled out for 27. I was there when Christopher Henry Gayle(OD) lifted the Wisden trophy at Queen's Park Oval in 2009, the first WI captain to do that since Brian Lara 11 years earlier. I was old enough to remember our first ever test victory in South Africa in 2008, I also remember our first series in NZ that did not end in defeat in 13 years, all under the same captain. Those were triumphs over high caliber opposition. Not cellar placed teams barely treading water. What we're doing here can't even be compared to Brisbane 2024 where the WI scored 311, the then highest score by a team against Australia in a D/N test on an uneven Gabba wicket, which set the stage for our victory in that test(for the subversive elements like VOR who believe that test was only Shamar, who has not been as good as he was when Coley was there btw).
Were you there when West Indies got bowled out at Sabina for 47 with the likes of Lara, Sarwan, Gayle and Chanderpaul in the batting lineup? Shamar's regression with Ravi the super bowling coach pray tell? How can that be? Can you provide stats to support this assertion?
Darren Sammy is just fortunate this part of the WTC didn't have SA or England or NZ touring the WI or else the results would have been the same as Australia last year, a definite regression from the 2024 contest between the sides
Lol this is hilarious. Were Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh not ranked higher than us? Also how does that explain our performance in India in the white ball series?

Pakistan is ranked lower than us yuh dunce. Sri Lanka is like two points above. They have not won a test match in over a year
