Looks difficult to bat out there. Ball seaming around.

Hasan Mahmud to Kavem Hodge, out Bowled!! Cleaned him up! Not a wise decision from Hodge to risk leaving another one on a surface which has played and his stumps are in a mess.

Taskin Ahmed to Joshua Da Silva, out Lbw!! Taskin strikes again! The visitors are in a spot of bother. Probing channel bowling from Taskin fetches him another reward. This looked adjacent to the naked eye and the umpire had no hesitation to rule it out. On a good length around off, seams in nicely after pitching. Joshua Da Silva is rooted to the crease as he tries to flick it across but plays

Joshua Da Silva lbw b Taskin Ahmed 12(17)

WI 28 /3 (9)

Da Silva's technique looks all over the place. Head not in line with the ball. Still playing across the line. I had hope for him. Challeging pitch to bat on, but this is test cricket. A man on the dying embers of an international career.

West Indies might regret batting first here. Roach is the perfect bowler for this wicket on day 1.

Hasan Mahmud to Amir Jangoo, FOUR, lovely shot! A half-volley outside off, Jangoo leans towards it, opens his bat-face and square drives it beautifully through point. The timing was sublime and he got the desired result

Taskin Ahmed to Amir Jangoo, FOUR, this is good batting from Jangoo! Pitched up outside off, Jangoo prods ahead and square drives it through point. Allowed his hands to flow through and timed it to a nicety

Taskin Ahmed to Amir Jangoo, FOUR, commanding shot! 50 up for West Indies! Fuller length delivery just outside off, Jangoo puts in a nice stride forward and drives it beautifully through covers. Didn't overhit it, just focused on timing and the ball raced away

Hasan Mahmud to Kevin Wickham, FOUR, thumping pull shot! Dug in short at around 130kph, it's just outside his right shoulder, no great pace on it to trouble him and he nails it in front of square
