You are doomed to repeat it. Watch the analogy between the Strait of Hurmuz (2026) and the Suez Canal (1956). In ‘56 Israel, France and Britain concocted a reason for military intervention in Egypt simply because the Egyptian Prime Minister nationalized the canal, which is Egypt’s, right.
From the official reports to the UN:
In October 1956, Britain, France and Israel secretly coordinated a military operation.
The sequence was:
Israel invaded Egypt's Sinai Peninsula on October 29.
Britain and France issued an ultimatum demanding that both sides withdraw from the canal area.
When Egypt rejected the ultimatum, Britain and France bombed Egyptian airfields and invaded.
2026 and history repeats itself except this time it’s the US and Israel. Back in 56 the US and the Soviet union, even though they were in the height of the Cold War came together to bring an end to Israel, France and Britain’s illegal military aggression. Today it’s the US, having learned nothing from the past. And yes, Iran, like Egypt in 1956, has every right to restrict Maritime usage of this Strait during war or military conflict.
