To Hindus today may the Diwali light continue to exist...

"The flame of a single diya does not fight the darkness; it simply claims its right to exist. May the eternal light of Deepavali remind us that truth requires no permission to shine." "Hindus hold the same fire that ancestors kindled millennia ago. The hands that pass the flame change, but the light remains ancient, sacred, and unbroken. May it continue through us."

“As we open our hearts to others, we begin to discover the truth of our own inner beauty, inner strength, and inner light” (Susan Jeffers)

To an old man a guide whose path briefly crossed mine: in the short time allowed by years, you shared the depth of a timeless heritage in Moruga , Trinidad with a 9 year old .

You explained that we do not merely light lamps; we carry a sacred flame passed down through an unbroken lineage of ancestors. Though our time together was brief, the wisdom you imparted belongs to the ages. In reverence , in a brief season of life, tethered my soul to an eternal lineage. The flame you passed down will not go out.

Through you, I understood that the Deepavali flame is not merely a spark in the night, but the living breath of our Parampara. In a short season, you acted as the bridge between the ancient rishis and my own modern steps, transferring a sacred weight of wisdom that has outlasted empires.

As the world changes and generations turn, may the ancient light you tended so faithfully continue to burn brightly in the lives of those you touched. With deepest reverence and gratitude, Shubh Deepavali where ever you have departed too.
