Lash dem Bri
If I was in Brian's shoes I will be telling myself I have just 7 months to retirement from the ODI game - So I am giving it 200%. I know ppl talk alot of crap about his focus being on individual goals. I think that we need him to set himself a few over the next 7months. It will be to WI benefit. He needs to say something like - "I will average at least 70 between now and retirement" or "I will try to lift my overall average to 44". Yes he is the captain and he must think team and developing the other players but for us to significantly improve our chance of glory at ICCchampions and WC07 we need a productive Brian at the crease. Think 7 more months Brian - GIVE IT YOUR ALL. That is the best farewell you could give.
In reply to BCL213 I find you boldface [presumptuous] - Who is you to decide when anybody should retire - The same was done with Richards and Roberts. With all the failure, all you can focus on is BCL - Why should a man not have personal goals - Did Pele have personal goals while playing for Brazil? The Caribbean can be one sad place with such twisted thinking
Lara will probably still be able to keep his place in the West Indies Team 2 or 3 years from now as long as his body is in good shape. Wishful thinking? Lets wait and see.
