FAISALABAD, Pakistan - West Indies captain Brian Lara spoke with the
media ahead of the second One Day International in Faisalabad.
Following are excerpts from his responses.
On the second ODI which is the effective start of the series after
the first ODI in Islamabad was abandoned:
I think we are very well positioned in the One Day game and I think
the time in Islamabad was good, they guys were in their rooms, we've
been on the road for a pretty long time. We now have to focus the
weather looks good in Faisalabad and we have to focus on the four
remaining games. I think that that little break away from the game
(during the abandoned ODI in Islamabad) has done us a lot of good.

Considering no Sarwan, Chanderpaul and Bravo - and then Gayle out for a duck and Lara run out for very few - Windies did pretty well. Bowling and fielding has improved dramatically in ODI. We are obviously going to struggle a bit when missing 3 of our key batsman but today windies can be quite proud of the way they competed in the second part of the match.
Obviously the vast majority of posters on this board wont see that as illustrated by continuing repetative and moronic posts. Perhaps West Indies fans get the team they deserve?

Well Said,
I was doing my best to stick with the match but sleep won...thank God for the VCR. the team did very well to fight back the way they did. I simply ignore the drunken nonsense posted in the rum shop from time to time.
What does Collymores' detractors have to say now?...not one fart...
good job team...cant wait til Sunday morning
