HEADLINE: Coach King: We're a Dangerous Force

CaribbeanCricket.com Dec 15, 2006, 12:49:31 PM

West Indies head coach Bennett King spoke with the media ahead of the final One Day International against Pakistan in Karachi. Following are excerpts from his comments.

On the final One Day International:

This is a series drawing match, the players showed some good form the other night (in Multan) and we're looking forward to this match. We had a look at the (Karachi) wicket and it looks pretty flat. It doesn't look as if it's containing much moisture and might not aid the fast bowlers like it did in the previous match but we're looking forward to it. We'll pick the side that we think is capable of winning and we will get out there and compete. Full Story

Hmmm. The real question is: If both teams click at the same time, who is likely to win? I do not think that the answer is that obvious.

WI would win....we are the second best ODI team right now.... and on our best day can beat the Ausies as well...if the selectors select the right team...and the skipper pick the `right batting order`

Man you speak tripe, he dun lots for WI cricket but his results only show when lazy players decide to play properly and stop all the rubbish they carry on with. And what person doesn't try and keep the job they love doing, you even got a job????

Dangerous to ourselves. I sincerely hope that the team's management DO NOT ever repeat this tour's performance.

Team management are the reason the team lost the tour hey???? How much drugs you take, the players not step up, the players not take catches, not bowl good balls, play wrong shots, man suck it up and admit that it is not the management but the players who aren't meeting the level. If the management full of locals then the players would be the ones who take all the blame. Ya make me sick.

Under Bennett King, the West Indies have indeed become a Dangerous Farce. Could he tell us when he expects the West Indies to be as dangerous as they were here ?

Amen Runs, da man work hard, unfortunately 95% of the players don't, why ya think the strength and conditioning coach quit, he sick of trying to make lazy players train. He back to australia to deal with professional athletes.

No this not what previous management did, this what the players did and against England, if West Indies play South Africa in the final instead of the semi final, they win the champions trophy. Man dig a little deeper, it not the management, if the colour of their skin was different no one care about it. They white, and they from australia so everything they do is wrong. You need to stop being so racist, it the players not doing the hard work. I laugh when the australian management go home and West Indies cricket undo everything that the management team has done. He successful in australia where the athletes work hard and do what coach/strength and conditioning coach request. Why you think that strength and conditioning coach resign and no reason supplied by WICB?????? He work with athletes in australia and he come to west indies for right reasons and he leave for wrong reasons. Maybe when Coach King go home, you realise that he not so bad, he get wonderful results in australia with committed athletes, wonder what he could have got in west indies if they had the right attitude.

" ... Maybe when Coach King go home, you realise that he not so bad, he get wonderful results in australia with committed athletes ..."

Can anyone here tell me the names of the current Australian test cricketers who were coached to test standard by "Coach King"?

In reply to MarcusGarveyLives Man you got it right BK is a farce, ask the question again; let anyone name a single player Australian or West Indian who BK has assisted, helped, guided into greatness. Answer NONE.

BK is the first to be fired after CWC 2007.

Wesley
