Back in the 1990s, when the WICB hierarchy made a bid for, and won, the rights to host the third biggest worldwide event, I bet all stakeholders thought that there was a lot of time and perhaps, if used wisely it would have been.

1st the visa and then this... Gosh Thank god i made the trip to POS last year... I pity the visitors who have to suffer like this.. its going to be a mess especially with the games so closely packed between islands...

Chances are that the wasters that pass as workers in the airport will treat foreigners better than they treat the locals so the Aussies and Kiwis will be fine.

I remember my "weekend in St Kitts" post (FEB 2004) was banished to the backroom by the ever vigilant moderators
It was not considered a cricketing issue or, judging from the responses, a serious issue.
Now it is a major issue with the CWC less than 3 months away.
CCC missed a a major chance to agitate for change.

It would be nothing short of a miracle if there are not numerous flight problems come WC.
I booked a ticket with Caribbean Airlines in mid-December and was told that I would get an e-mail confirming my flight details in a couple of days.2 weeks later I call them and they tell me they were trying to ensure the people travelling before Jan 1st are sorted out but I would get confirmation within a day or two of the New Year.
Today is Jan 9th and guess what????

No Planes
Instead of building big Chinese Stadia, why them Caribbean, lands of suns and seas, why dem' countries didn't buy planes - Who you want to buy the planes for you? Ananci dead, man - You build stadia but didn't buy planes, you wanted yellow and red packages, opening ceremonies and Australians; but yuh still didn't buy planes, maybe you hoped that the brown bag would have bought a plane for you, the brown bag became aware, and you still didn't buy any planes. Chavez was interested in another kind of plane; so you sold your soul and your sole for a couple of whales, a US dollar and a yen; then a couple of medical students arrived, but they couldn't buy planes-not even a fast ferry - You ran 20-20 and promised mergas, maybe the planes and the efficiency will come soon-just in time for your selfish grandeurs.
