The performance of the Guyana team in the current Carib Beer and KFC Cup regional competitions has left many questions unanswered, not the least in relation to the selection of the team.
While both of Guyana’s four-day Carib Beer games against the Windward Islands and Trinidad and Tobago were severely affected by rain, they have now lost their first two one-day KFC Cup matches to these same teams very tamely.

HEADLINE: The End for Neil McGarrell?
But Joe Solomon the cancerous selector has left the building
Who is to blame now?
Who are the selectors now....can someone NAME them
In reply to Narper
They've been trying to get rid of McGarrell for a long time now. this time they said he wasn't fit and dropped him...end of story.
In reply to Larr Pullo
reasons being??
Daniel Singh grabbing at straws, there is little Mc garell could have done to change the fortunes of the guyanese team. The guyanese selectors should have been investing in youths years ago. When King , Mc Garrell and Nagamootoo was at their heights.
Now they have finally decided to invest in youths the experienced players are not performing. In fact them under performing.
In reply to terminator
Before you invest in the youth, you have to find the youth to invest in.....
Guyana's problems go deeper than just finding youth to invest in.
McGarell instead of Nagamootoo should have been on the team because of his experience, leadership, batting and bowling abilities. These qualities are lacking in the Guyana team.
In reply to Gupta
why should either have been dropped? their record in 1st class cricket speaks for itself and both are useful low order batsmen in both forms of the game. The Beast has been one of our better captains and for all of the talent of narsingh...captaincy will never be one of them. Unfortunately guyana continues to push unqualified but highly talented cricketers to be their captain, figuring that this wil catapult them either into the west indies team or worse make them captain thereof!! It didn't work for chander and its not going to work for narsingh. Hope could never replace schooling...something chander and narsingh were denied by the self same persons who are now promoting them!
In reply to windies nagammotto and king are well into their 30s.He is saying they are both are 31, he wants to go back see how old their are.Leon johnson, singh, both are playing well in trinidad , both score good runs against bermuda and WAS left out of the team.Look a trinidad it a very young side and they are not afraid to put the youngsters in.
