West Indies captain Brian Lara will miss the second One Day International against India in Cuttack on Wednesday January 24th on the advice of the team physiotherapist.
"Brian has a longstanding chronic knee problem in his left knee and after the first One Day International in Nagpur he pulled up a bit sore in that knee and I have advised him to miss the second ODI in Cuttack tomorrow," said team physiotherapist Stephen Partridge.

Devon Smith will need to step up - in a hurry -

How do we know it will be Devon? Would it surprise you if young Lendl Simmons was included. It is my personal conviction that when Lara retires, another Trini will be annointed to replace him.

I think Devon may be ahead of him; but Lendl is an option too!
They should try both of them before series end. Might as well experiment, I say

It will be interesting to see if Gayle can set a field and use his bowler shrewdly

Partridge should choose his words for diagnosis more carefully.
Brian has a longstanding chronic knee problem in his left knee
Such diagnosis are reserved for wounded knees like Samuels. :(
