As the countdown to the opening ceremony of Cricket World Cup 2007 started – marked by today's first warm up matches – I wondered when I am going to catch the fever. Then last night, my throat started to hurt, and this morning I woke up with watery eyes. Definite signs of a cold and fever coming on but, alas, the wrong fever.

Since I'm not really sure if I'll be working as an accredited journalist, I was smart enough to purchase spectator tickets, just in case the powers that be deem that I am not high enough on the media totem pole.

Don't under-estimate CaribbeanCricket.com This medium is probably or will become the eminent sport media in the near future..... atop the totem pole; you will be looking down.

Yammie As I have stated repeatedly there are currently 4 teams in SVG , England , Zimbabwe , Bermuda and the louts from Australia led by Pansy Ponting , HE was the only person who was critical about the practise facilities . THERE HAS BEEN NARY A WORD FROM THE OTHER TEAMS . GO FIGURE .

I am glad to know that you are on the ball ,with your reporting .

Regards ....... POINT .

From all I've read and seen so far, the people who will enjoy WC 2007 the least will be the ones who bought tickets and attend the games.

With my the comfort of my home, 42in plasma, food and drinks at normal prices and guaranteed not to be thesource of gastro, I intend to enjoy WC 2007 very much.

And if the WI team does well and/or win the WC, that enjoyment will be complete.

I feel sorry for those who bought tickets, though. It's sad when you pay to be the victim of a monumental rip-off.
