There is no rip Bob thread - people just too emotional to read and understand simple English.

THEY should have done it for both

How much responsibility does the coach have compared to the Captain,Manager and WICB in recognzing the late Sir Frank?

The solution is for the West Indies to design a uniform with a permanent black arm band. lol
Afterall, every day is the anniversary of someone's death.

Where have you ever seen anyone wear an armband for someone who has been dead for 40 years; usually its only for recent deaths? The Manchester United example is irrelevant because that was a "TEAM" tragedy where multiple team members died in a plane crash while returning home from a game. Sir Frank died of natural causes; albeit at a young age, and he had already retired from cricket. A minute of silence before the start of the match to commemorate Sir Frank would have been more appropriate than an armband.

I suspect the next suggestion would be to pour libations for all the death former WI players before every match.

You go first.

I imagine in your world seven current team members dying in a plane crash is the same order of magnitude as a retired player dying from leukemia.

You go first.

i would be happy to start pouring libations over yer head. first second or last.

listen in all seriousness, i understand u dont like mgl's views...but its ok to say that and leave it at that. what u have tried to do is to heap scorn on the guy with an argument that befits a dipstick.

we dont let such things go on ccc. sorry.

Sir Frank died 40 years ago. Why wear a black armband in 2007?!?!?!?

The black armband is a sign of mourning a recent death, not a skeleton!!!
