More than a month after a team of arbitrators gave a binding ruling that settled the dispute between the WICB and WIPA, West Indies cricketers playing in the World Cup are still without contracts.

According to information reacting CaribbeanCricket.com, the WICB has not yet provided the players with contract terms settled by a high-powered tribunal that included Barbados chief justice Sir David Simmons, Queen's Counsel Elliott Mottley and human resources management specialist Aubrey Armstrong. If WICB wants professionalism on the field, they have to treat the players like professionals off the field. How many of us would start work on a handshake these days? Are the players covered by insurance without a contract?

You think its the WICB that leaked to Ryan that the players don't have contracts yet?

In the past Ryan was more than willing to carry water for WIPA and he made no secrets to which side he favored. It just seems to me that this is simply one more article in a long line of similar articles. I guess the ceasefire masu up.

So, we are here again - no surprises. What do the players do?

1. Strike?

2. Focus on Cricket to bring the Cup home? We are off to a great start, and the last thing this team needs is distraction. In as much as $$$ is priority, winning the CUP is of a higher Priority - $$$ will follow.

I hope they are focusing on #2.
