rather silly for someone who is supposed to be in the know, to say he's never people constantly cheer at a cricket match, and finds it remarkable to see a mexican wave at a cricket match......make him sort of a non-expert doesnt it Michelle?

In reply to Patrickcity Rowe was spot on in his observation that Pakistan had the better wicket to bat on.I remember remarking to Spratty that the wicket had significant bounce and lateral seam movement so that 241 was a good score.I was surprised that the wicket did so much less in the Pakistani innings.

the win by the Irish over Pakistan today certainly puts the win by the WI into perspective.

Two hundred and seventy runs in a one day match by the team batting first has usually been seen as a potentially winning score. A team that cannot make 200 can be eaten raw by anybody.

Well this is the same Ireland that tied with Zim too...so what does that bring into perspective?

I take the point but I just wanted to make the point which as WI supporters we know already. I prefer to enjoy the victory but the railway euphoria which I read/hear on the win I prefer not to associate myself at this time.
