This is really a tragic situation. I really cannot believe that this has happened. And what I find puzzling is that little has been said by the commentators (as far as I am aware).

The circumstances are so stunning.

RIP and condolences to his family.

I heard it while watching both matches

CVM broke it first then it was announced live by the commentators about 15 minutes after.

Sad

RIP Bob

Condolences to his family

This is very sad news...

Condolences to his family..
There is no way they could have expected this..

Now both the captain and coach of the 1999 SA team that so famously were knocked out of the tied semi-final have passed away in tragic circumstances...That 1999 semi-final remains the most stunning ODI game I've ever watched...

This has cast a huge pall on the entire World Cup.The circumstances of his death are as tragic as you can get.
This reminds me of the death of Ken Barrington from a heart attack the night before the Kensington test match in 1981.

RIP Bob Woolmer
The entire cricket fraternity mourns your tragic loss.
Condolences to his wife and family.

That image of him packing up his laptop after the match yesterday spoke volumes for me. I said to myself..a serious case of depression for Bob...but I never thought that the pressure of the broken heart would have taken him. The Crazed Fans and the news of the public reaction in Pakistan was simply too much for him. Thankless friggin Job...to say the least. sad
Respect due coach
