When greeted with what was then a rumour that Bob Woolmer was dead, and asked to try to get some official confirmation, I never imagined that "dead" meant "expired".

Instead, I assumed "dead" meant that the Pakistan Cricket Board had not waited until the team's return to Pakistan but rather had terminated his contract immediately, even though Pakistan has one more match to play in the World Cup, after which his contract was to end.

A good read ... when I heard of BW's death while traveling today ... I was very surprised, shocked indeed ... I hope it is not what I'm thinking ... pressure is really a bad thing when taken to heart.

What I was thinking and stressed this is not an isolated case, and I was worried about the

A friend just in from Sri Lanka suggested he might have been assisted.

You know the bigger point is the way these journalists hound coaches and cricketers while trying to make names for themselves. A few should be searching their soulness bodies for some answers tonight.
