He also gave him the microphone which he took on to the world cup match against India. I never forgot that either. No one in the white world believed pure lily white Hansie was guilty even when he confessed.
People too damn naive on the one hand and others pretend to be gentlemen. While history has been my teacher and whether you want to be kind to the dead or not the fact is that Woolmer was the coach for two teams involved in gambling, one with drugs and he himself was involved in that microphone business.

Bob Woolmer:
(a) was one of those who sought to profit from the white supremacist apartheid regime of South Africa when he went there as one of the so-called 'rebels' (or, more appropriately, sanction-busting mercenaries) in 1981-82;
(b) was coach of an international team implicated in some of the most serious allegations of bribery, match fixing and corruption, apparently led by his captain and right-hand man;
(c) has been described as a 'visionary' and 'innovative' coach, who despite his 'vision' and 'innovation' failed to win any significant honours at internaional level.
(d) was also coach of a team implicated in both match-fixing and drug-taking.
Those still seem to me to be the facts before and after his death.

what exactly is this white world? Come in anybody from the white world!
Visionary = winner? What part of innovation necessarily corresponds with winning 'any significant honours at international level' especially since they only really consist of the World Cup and....ummm...any series against Oz? As for innovation...suppose he found innovative ways to lose?

Sorry, but what significant honours are there at international level? OK, he never won the Ashes.

Until you made this idiotic statement I was with you. I am one of the loudest voices who have been calling and continues to call for BK's ass to be fired. No apologies here. Reason, he is a shit coach white black other. If you disagree list his accoumplishment as WI coach.

So what's so terrible - come to think of it yuh all don't like White people so why the weeping and mourning? Yuh all did not want a White man to coach the Windies - so how cum Bob is a good guy, or is it the White man is acceptable as long as he does not come too close to us?

Plenty smelled a rat with the Test against England in 2000.

If I'd been in Woolmer's position at the time of the rebel tour, I'd have gone too. Most of those who went on those tours had been previously shat upon by the governing bodies one way or another. He later coached a non-white team in South Africa during apartheid.
