It's official: Bennett King's disastrous tour of duty as head coach of the West Indies team has ended.

King will not accompany the team on the England Tour and the WICB says it will announce the Management Team, including the Coach, for that tour at a later date.

Well after that lukewarm endorsement he gave him, if I were King, I would not want to be in a hotel alone with Sarwan, especially in the light of recent events. 8) 8) 8)

True story, the man tried hard and he had respect from Brian Charles LARA. Who cares about other people of the MB, LARA tell him he is a great coach. I know that people like Chrissy are going to get on here bad mouth Bennett, but like I have said before if you aren't going to put your hand up and try and do the job better then shut your fat mouth. Who cares if you have a university education you still talk like a gutter rat. He tried his guts out, and you want to know why Bryce the strength and conditioning coach quit, because certain lazy players refused to do what he asked them to do. He was employed to help the players increase their fitness etc and they refused to do what his program dictated. It is no suprise that West Indies cricket fails to go ahead. Goodbye and good riddance to West Indies. Bennett come home to Australia and lets get back to normal life.

Bennett King is a complete utter failure. Good riddance and I hope the door does hit him in the ass.

Oh, and the fact that his players refused to listen to a member of his staff is an indictment of him, not anyone else. Nice try though.

I would be willing to accept that argument if it wasn't for the fact that coaches and managers for years have been having the same difficulty!

It only happens to mediocre coaches. Like Bennett King.

does that mean that the windies have only ever had mediocre coaches and managers?

If so, who would you recommend?

Correct. We've only had mediocre coaches (led by the overpaid Bennett King) with no people skills. I recommend Dav Whatmore.

Do you believe if Whatmore comes in and is not given authority over the players, that he will last his term without being as much of a failure as the others you term 'mediocre'?
