As usual, it is business as usual, despite what the would-be president Gordon has stated.

This nonsense about "in the interest of West Indies cricket" has become a tired refrain. The players have demonstrated many times that they have no interest in West Indies cricket via their unprofessionalism.

You can hardly contain your disappointment that you won't be able to rail against the players (minus Gayle, Taylor and Powell, of course), WIPA and Dinas for trying to harm WI cricket.

Spin away...you can do no less in the circumstances.

Wherever the head of the snake going, the belly and the tail always follow.

The players march resolutely along the path trodden by the WICBandits - the head of their snake.

Go ahead - blame the belly and tail of the snake. After all, in your mind they precede and lead the head...ent?

Somtimes allyuh so clueless it ain't funny. Allyuh expect the Bandits to behave the way they do and for the players to be "professional".

Tell us - what part of the Bandits' behaviours promote "professionalism"? Or, at least, displays of that on the cricket field?

Only 1 cricketer over the past 15 years has been able to remain professional in that environment and he was the fly in the ointment. At least that's what the same people who calling for "professionalism" say - the frigging hypocrites.

Professionalism matter only when it suit their agendas...fugging hypocrites.

You know how it go when you addicted.

In fact I think everyone on this damn MB does.

Would normal well adjusted people keep putting themselves through the kind of torture and misery we do?

As they say in JA

Mad, sick, head no good!

I am patiently awaiting for the aribitrators to rule in favour of WIPA....

....to see what Dinas go do then.....let's see how much ah dem he could tell not to sign and expect them to listen.

All this forkery jackass does spew here about taking advantage of the cricketers....house slave, bakra massa and garbage.....

None want to hazard a gues why it so easy to find so-called scabs.

- Is the job life-threatening?
- Do the strikers possess any special skills?
- Is the civilian population going to suffer becaus of the strike?
- Do the West Indian cricketers have comparably better paying options?
- Do the actions of WIPA benefit ALL the region's cricketers or just the selected squad?

Now fork off with this falsely perpetrated analogy to the struggles of labour that is nothing other than an appeal to emotion logical fallacy.

This is not ah Industrial Relations MB...this is a cricket MB.

Alternatively, we shall call this story, 'No Lara, No leverage'[b/]

You are absolutely correct. Once this contract is signed, WIPA can kiss its influence on West Indies goodbye forever.

These are not conditional contracts. It is therefore a meaningless gesture in going to arbitration.

"subject to the decision of the arbitration panel."

i.e. without prejudice.

In reply to Narper - Yuh see Ramnaswine learning....cricket must go on -

Since most ah dem guys have retainer contracts they cyah strike so. And dat is also y I feel WICB responsible for the WC fitness mess.
Fri, May 4, '07 at 4:13 PM
No defense of the players but how many here could function successfully under these circumstances? We must rid ourselves of the WICB Bandits. I will propose again that CC.Com publish the names, addresses and email addresses of all WICB Birectors so that we can tar and feather their sorry asses out of office.

Reality is that in the Caribbean a lot of people do now want to get actively involved in cricket administration. So the same people become directors year after year.
We get the directors we deserve because we are happy to criticize and not take meaningful action

And that's just what he would have done if the board had continued to play hardball and not agreed to submit to arbitration.
