Second Thought.... ooops! Some players are concerned

In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Of course some of them wanted nothing to do with abandoning the tour.

I am becoming even more suspicious that this strike was ochestrated by certain entities in the West Indies team rather than the entire team.
This is definitely interesting.
Samuels and now the Bajan players. It is primarily silly, angry-with-the world type of people who would ever try to justify this ridiculous strike.
This was a poor, poor move by the West Indies 'team') (saying team for now) to strike.

5 players wanted to play...its time you guys start suggesting some names.
In reply to Nemesis
Name them then
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Reconcile the two fuh me nah? Who de threats were directed at? No wonder POINT have little or no respect fuh any West Indian Journalist....they write any crap to sell papers without thinking it thru!
In reply to WestDem
Any player who now seeks to distance himself from the action is a coward. They should've stood up when it mattered.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
True dat.....If they are now gonna return home and seh dat they did nat want to do that, they should be banned fuh stupidity!
In reply to WestDem
...and the rest for bullying
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
If yuh tekking bully in adult life, man shame on you....yuh deserve wha yuh get!
I don't believe they were more Marlons on de tour....whay do the Bim players need lawyers and an audience to speak up?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Pulling the Holier Than Thou Card?
In reply to BatQuake
Kemar Roach is Bajan. He has publicly supported the players.
You forgot the word "some".
In reply to nick2020
If they were against it why didn't they stay away at the toss? At least Marlon was shown walking away.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Because they are human like you and I.
Because as a good team mate you are instilled with the team concept.
The players had a legit grievance. I do not like the action they took but the grievance was legit.
So I do not know if I would have done any different. I do know what they did was not right though.
In reply to nick2020
Ok. Then why express remorse now?
Bacchanaaaalllll.

In reply to Admin
You still happy?
In reply to WestDem

In reply to BatQuake
You are not even close. The strike and union head alienation came from entities outside of the WI team.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Like a pig squealing in mud. Weeeeeeee!!!
_r
Wasn't Kemar Roach de one who was tweeting that its not about the money its about respect..
Well maybe he found out that respect can't pay for the BMW in the shop window.
In reply to carl0002
No man Kemar him following the leader....Smith now, well him nuh too sure..hahahahah

Imagine if West Indies Cricket died... Admin would cease to be Admin, not true?
In reply to nick2020
Nicky, my friend. What part of it died a long time ago is so difficult for you to understand?
_r
In reply to Admin
Help me understand why you are so happy? Who hurt you along the way?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
I've been rooting for the death of West Indies cricket as we know it for a very long time. I've explained it to bolivion for a long time. Anything that speeds up this eventuality makes me incredibly happy.

That was before or after: Julian is...
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
You know, you are very perceptive. That "there's something about Julian" just crossed my mind. I'll leave it alone for now but it's really interesting the very first phone conversation I had with Hunte and the reason I said what I said.
Anyways, I'm too busy being happy for you to spoil it. Weeeeeee!

Like I predicted a few days ago, the rift is coming to the open. Pun intended..
In reply to Admin
Hard to reconcile that and the existence of this message board.
Option 1: This board gets you a google paycheck greater than the cost to run it. The end of cricket is the end of the traffic on the board is the end of that paycheck.
Option 2: This board is a labour of love.
The only option that makes sense is
Option 3: This board's existence is to undermine (Wi) cricket.
And it is not. The end of our cricket is the end of this. If you believed our cricket was dead and we now fixing we suits you would not be pouring time, money, effort, or love in a dead project.
You are holding your dominoes below the table.
In reply to nick2020
Option accurate: Amusement.
There's no money in cricket websites. For me, the labor of love ended a long time ago when I stopped investigating and writing. Right now, it's amusement only. Once in a while, when I need a diversion from all the work travel and real life stress, I come here and engage in the bacchanal for fun.
That's it, really. Honestly.
_ryan
In reply to Admin
Not engage in...stir up
In reply to Admin
What them guys think this is nuh
Given the type of work CC has done in exposing the bacchanal, can you imagine if someone took it seriously ?
In reply to Commie
Nicky means well. I understand his questions.

In reply to Admin
Not that it matters but that is not believable.
I wonder how long it takes to get a black suit from the cleaners. 22 years?
In reply to nick2020
One day I'll write the definitive history of CaribbeanCricket.com, just for you. It's a decent story, if I may say so myself. I actually remembered a time when Tony Cozier picked this site as one of the three most important "people" in West Indies cricket.
That gave me a chuckle.

Well, I was choosing to speak cautiously but you should know what I really had in mind.

It probably made you proud.
Like I have said on a few other threads Pollard losing his retainer is one of the reason for this crisis.
In reply to nick2020
It gave me a chuckle. I did keep a copy of the magazine.

Have a read and chuckle along.
CaribbeanCricket.com
Source of independent journalism
The website spearheaded by our panellist Ryan Naraine figured in the line-ups of two of our experts: Coziers and Naraines! (Though, to be fair, it was number 10 on the latters list, and he was modest enough to add the word seriously in parentheses next to the heading). According to Cozier, the sites often quoted reliable source supplies constant leaks on the business and blunders of the WICB, which necessarily pays close attention, as it does to the views of the sites no-nonsense contributors. Naraine, who should know, says that the advent of this website has suddenly given a voice to West Indies cricket fans scattered around the world. For the first time, fans have found a place to cheer, rally, commiserate, and share their passion. More importantly, the website (entirely a voluntary effort) has succeeded in peeking under the hood of cricket administration in the region publishing feature stories, analyses, and investigations that would never make daylight in the mainstream Caribbean media.
