Press Release

St John’s, ANTIGUA - In respect of the captioned matter, the Player, Nicholas Pooran, was suspended by CWI, in relation to a decision taken by the Player not to play in the Professional Cricket League at the start of the 2016-2017 domestic season, although he was selected by a domestic franchise team. The Player featured in the Bangladesh Premier League instead, after having been granted a NOC by CWI.

The parties jointly state however, that following bilateral good faith discussions, they have decided to settle this matter amicably. The parties add that they are both committed to the development of West Indies Cricket at all levels and continue to have those interests uppermost in their minds.

Whilst not delving into the merits of their respective positions on the matter, the parties regret that it occurred as it did and accept that this has served as a learning experience for both players and administrators, in terms of best practice for the professionalization of cricket in the region.

The time period of the suspension has since expired and the Player is therefore now eligible to play in all three forms of the game for West Indies. Pooran was a member of the President’s XI vs Afghanistan in St Kitts last month.

The parties also reaffirm their commitment to moving forward in strengthening their relationship in the best interests of West Indies Cricket. This statement represents the parties' final public position on this matter.

Cameron realized that the tides were turning against him after playing India with inexperienced players.

He tried a new routine thinking that India would beat us at T20, unfortunately, it backfired.

The boys won.

He is humiliated at the moment having to admit he made an error with lil B.

Now after Pybus threw Cameron under the bus and left, he has no choice but to call them back.

Firing Pybus would have saved face, but he has no one to blame but himself.

He is sensing T&TCB will soon change Dinas and Ganga leading the way, others will take up the mantle
in other islands and Guyana . He wouldn't have 8 votes in his back pocket soon.

Cameron wants to leave a legacy, at the moment it's dismal.

With more money coming from the ICC shortly, watch his generosity to hang on for another term.

In the interim, we are looking at a bunch of Bigger Ediots that heads Caricom. They are as useless as teats on a bull .

Jimmy realise that the cupboard so bare we can't afford to go about alienating all our players....

'Jimmy Adams, Director Of Cricket, and Johnny Grave, CWI CEO, have previously intimated their desire to change the policy, with Adams labelling it "unsustainable".'

Those two guys seems to actually be thinking more logically than many of those they replaced.
No one never said their shouldn't be rules. We just said rules should be followed by all involved and the rules shouldn't be anything personal.
What we saw was many things becoming personal.
I hope now that players can see the side the guys willing to take to advance West Indies Cricket forward and take their roles in it seriously

It would be of interest to find out under what clause in the MOU qualifies this player for suspension
and was due process followed.

Who came up with the suspension and how long was such for?

Compensation due to such player shortly. Most likely a sealed agreement.

I believe his ban was for the season...and the season is over...a new draft was held last week for the this new season so therefore his ban is over and he is available for all cricket.
So all this talk from them is nonsense.
