T&T firm helps launch US methanol plant
In reply to bravos
Nice! A rarity for any Caribbean business.
Caribbean people, with the exception of Cubans in some cases, generally lack the confidence to be experts at anything, including our own natural resources, or social matters such as our own history and culture.
For example, The use of mangrove trees for sea defense in Guyana, got nowhere until overseas experts pressed the point on the Guyana government.
Another example. The study and preservation of Berbice Creole Dutch, which contains significant remnants of African languages used by African slaves in Guyana, would have never occurred - had it been left to Guyana authorities and experts only.
Anyway, it's good to see our Caribbean brothers excelling.

Yes man for sure,T&T is in par with and have exveeded developed nations in the petrochem process business and have set the standard in many aspects of production etc and have been involved in many projects in other countries.
Globalization kinda evens out the playing field,we will continue to get similar stories going forward,we (the Caribbean) already have individuals making an impact internationally in many fields as you know.

You know we know we chemicals..
See for the uneducated IPSL is a German company run by citizens from Germany..
All the Chemical Plants in T&T are owned by Canadians or Germans. The most important part is the process again T&T owns none. T&T only supplies gas and a small amount of workers.
Please lets be accurate about info posted.

Couple things:
Methanol Holdings (Trinidad) Limited (MHTL) operates IPSL which is held by Proman Holding AG out of Wollerau, Switzerland and (yes, to your point) Helm AG out of Germany. So you are right about ownership.
Where you are not exactly correct on, is that the IP (intelectual property) behind the extensive technical expertise provided to both Consolidated Energy Limited (CEL), OCI N.V., and Natgasoline LLC of Texas was INCLUSIVE of many Trinidadian engineers and professionals...
To deny the point that Bravos is making here: that a TNT firm helped a US Chem Plant get off and running is not fair, and frankly, consistent with your seemingly insatiable desire to chop at your own tree.
In summary: You are right about ownership (not the focus here) he is right about TNT expertise and best practice sharing/development assisting a large US firm.
I came, I saw and I shat on my doorstep.

Please note: Emir Baba Ver 2.0 (also called The Epiphany Update in tech circles) is nothing like Emir Ver 1.0

I am a consultant to both firms, I know a little more than you do please, plus the Canadians conglomerate.. I know the german Engineers plus the ones from UDHE that are in T&T. I have been in these plants.
This plant was built in modules , tested before they are assembled, completely digital and computer controlled.
T&T plants are analogue controlled
The T&T firm was used to get by Spanky , the US is clamping down on European firms especially Germany. Spanky wants less german cars on US highways, etc
Oh coz , I dont fit what you deem to be proper caribbean citizens?
I am not chopping at my own tree , I am noting facts.
I advised the T&T government but I was ignored. My recommendation get 50% ownership.

Recent: Guyana Oil, Jamaica Rare Earth Minerals Project, Barbados: ever diminishing local ownership
All that aside, many TNT professionals have had significant roles in the plant. So we can celebrate parallel/concurrent to being wide eyed.
