HEADLINE: CWI announces dates for India's tour of the West Indies 2019 2019-06-12 18:02:19 

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – West Indies will begin their bid to become World Test champions during the India Tour of the West Indies which starts in August and will be sponsored by MyTeam11 and co-powered by Skoda and Kamla Pasand.

The WINDIES and India will play two Tests – from August 22 to 26 at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua and from August 30 to September 3 at Sabina Park in Jamaica – during the five-week Tour, which also includes three Twenty20 and three One-day Internationals.

The two Tests open the new ICC World Test Championship, which will be played over the next two years and has been introduced to give greater context and competition in the “Ultimate Test” of the game, combining strategy, skill and endurance.

"In March, CWI had sent a request to the BCCI asking to play an additional T20I. Another request from CWI was two of the three agreed T20Is to be played in Miami. According to the minutes of meeting on March 18 between the BCCI officials and the Committee of Administrators, the first request was struck off, but the second one was approved provided the T20I series took place ahead of the Test series."

Antigua is the site of Kohli's only ton scored on WI soil, so that makes the VR stadium automatic.

Plus, Antigua and Jamaica have a common bond in the accent/diction of the spoken English. That makes the transition from one locale to the other seamless, so to speak.

I sincerely hope that the WICBC consulted the Weather Forecast for
the various Islands in the Region hosting the Matches around the dates
the Matches will be played ; to get rough idea regarding the Weather Patterns .
