The Cricket West Indies (CWI) presidential election race was rocked on Tuesday, following news that presidential candidate Gary Sanasie has sought to report incumbent Ricky Skerritt to the CWI Ethics Committee.

Speaking on the Mason and Guest radio program, the Guyanese board member revealed that he had launched a formal complaint, written to CWI Corporate Secretary Alanna Medford-Sigh.

Sanasie’s grouse stems from allegations that Skerritt held a meeting with Guyana’s Minister of Sports Charles Ramson Jr without convening the full board.  He further contents that the decisions taken at the meeting were deliberately made to give Skerritt an unfair advantage in his bid to secure re-election.

Anansie the odds are against you, now that WI cricket teams have had consecutive series wins and Prez Skerritt has successfully rid CWI of many appendages from the last administration including blatant insularity, nationalism/friendism in selection process and he is actively working towards selection of only the best players to represent WI, regardless of age, ethnicity or island of origin. Prez Skerritt is heading forward and CWI has no intention of repeating history. You have to demonstrate to the region that you have the capability of unifying the Guyana cricket Board and stakeholders first before any consideration by other regions of been elected to the highest cricket post in the region.

The Business is about the CRICKET but cricket seems not to be their business focus

This presidential run comes across as big NO BALL-

to declare that abject failures are taking place in the middle of THREE series Victories in succession is just "igrance."

The Cricket I suspect has precious little to do with the string of failures over the years....and YET...the Management side keeps negatively impacting on the actual Cricket
