My mom, Marilyne Trotz, died of COVID-19 on Sunday March 28th, 2021 in Guyana. She was admitted to the hospital at Lilendaal early on Saturday March 12th. She spent 1 night at the Caribbean Heart Institute at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation - GPHC on Friday March 5th from 5 am on the 5th to before noon on the 6th for a stent. She tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday March 9th. Can we 1) supply ALL workers at the public hospital with N95s or similar and ask that they wear them, 2) test all workers at the hospital for COVID-19, do so on a regular basis and pay them for the time they need to quarantine, 3) ensure visitors are double masked or in an N95 or similar, 4) ensure ALL rooms are properly ventilated and if anything equip with air purifiers and CO2 meters, 5) not have COVID-19 patients and regular patients register in the same emergency room, 6) screen PCR samples for variants in Trinidad and Tobago and share with Guyanese whether P1 or other more transmissible and fatal forms are in Guyana, and 7) rapid test patients who will be admitted for non COVID procedures. Toilet paper in ALL restrooms would be nice.

Are people in health care not taking it (Covid) seriously in GT?

Or is it inconsistent and not enforced?

I don't know where is worst - JA or Guyana
