He's all full-grown in every aspect and couldn't be bowling better.

Rampaul must be there. He was, is and continues to be one of the best fast bowlers in the region.

The fact that people are expressing surprise at how well Rampaul is bowling in this CPL is mind boggling when you realize that he was the leading fast bowler in the 50 over domestic competition earlier this year.People who claim to follow WI cricket and have been writing about WI cricket for more than half-century.
Reminds me of what my father used to talk about wrt people with experience.
He said: Some people have 20 years experience while others have 1 year's experience 20 times.

I agree, Rampaul is bowling well and should definitely be considered for the World Cup. What some people are suggesting is West Indies team selections have been known to raise a few eyebrows.

An interesting discussion occurred recently among some commentators regarding West Indies cricket.

They felt there was bias in team selection from junior level all the way up to the senior level.

Furthermore, they felt there was bias selecting the territorial teams as well as the West Indies representative teams.

The consensus was if you are not a "chosen one" life as a cricketer in the Caribbean is much more difficult.

I heard a rumour that you have been following Windies cricket more diligently and attentively than most others.

imusic 2021-09-08 19:12:09

Nope.

Ardz 2021-09-08 21:01:37

And then the noise will start.... Too many Trinis and Pollard choosing his friends.

Look at these players,

Evin Lewis
Lendl Simmons
Nicholas Pooran
Akeil Hosein
Sunil Narine
Ravi Rampaul
Khary Pierre
Kieron Pollard
Dwayne Bravo

Who of these can we really be upset about if they are selected? Who do you leave out to avoid the "trini" appearance?

I deliberately left out Dinesh Ramdhin who is excellent behind the stumps and should relieve Nicholas Pooran of that chore and who, buy the way is batting well.
