ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Cricket West Indies (CWI) has been made aware of the charges which have been laid by the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit, involving former West Indies player Marlon Samuels. Formal charges have been laid with breaching four counts of the Emirates Cricket Board’s Anti-Corruption Code for participants of the T10 League in Abu Dhabi in 2019.

While CWI has yet to receive detailed information relating to this ICC investigation, CWI remains firm in denouncing any such activities within the sport, and fully supports the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit in its efforts to rid the sport of all corruption.

While this ongoing investigation continues, CWI will not make any further comment in respect of these charges.

Since we are talking alleged Corruption involving a former West Indies cricketer and the response of CWI and their anti corruption policy, can CWI please tell us what became of the revelation of Michael Holding back in May of 2021, when he alleged that cricket west Indies received a large sum of money $1,34, 0200, from Dominica cricket association through a third party, and later Dominica Cricket Association received some monies from cricket west Indies, through a third party bla, bla, bla. This is very important because at that time Mr. Immanuel Nathan, a Dominican and head of their passport program was vice president of west Indies cricket. I am lost here. I don't know what or who you are referring to. I simply want cricket West Indies to tell us what's happening with the Michael Holding expose' of May 2020, when according to him information he received shows some kind of strange story where Dominica, one of the poorest islands in the Caribbean transferred a large some of money to cricket West Indies and in return CWI transferred some money to Dominica cricket association, both transactions through a third party. Mr Immanuel Nathan was the then president of CWI, so it's time for CWI to come clean and tell us what took place. Just last week I heard of so many Caribbean politicians, former cricketers and others asked CWI to investigate why a number of players were left out of the world cup team and if selectors can't answer the fire them. However everyone is silent on the Michael Holding expose'. Did they pass it on to ICC?
