While I'm at it, here are some recommendations to vastly improve travel between the Caribbean islands of Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica, Antigua, Dominica, St. Lucia, Grenada, and Guyana, the governments can:
Improve air and sea transportation infrastructure, such as airports and ports, to increase connectivity and reduce travel time.
Enhance regional air and sea transportation services, including the development of regional airlines and inter-island ferry services.
Implement harmonized travel policies, such as visa requirements and border control, to streamline travel for tourists and business travelers.
Foster partnerships with major airlines to increase air connectivity and increase air traffic to the region.
Invest in tourism infrastructure, such as hotels and tourist attractions, to attract more visitors and create employment opportunities.
Develop regional marketing and promotion strategies to increase visibility and attract more tourists to the Caribbean.
Encourage the use of sustainable transportation, such as electric vehicles, to reduce carbon emissions and improve environmental sustainability.
Enhance cybersecurity and data protection measures to increase the confidence of travelers in the region.
Implement health and safety protocols, such as mandatory COVID-19 testing, to ensure the safety of travelers and residents.
Encourage cross-border trade and investment, such as the establishment of free trade zones, to stimulate economic growth and create employment opportunities.

Most of the problems in the world are not impossible to solve and we know what needs to be done to solve them.We therefore do not need AI to tell us what to do.We already do.However we lack the will, resolve, smarts and resources to do what needs to be done and AI can not do it for us.

on that i agree
the more i see of the responses from chatgpt the less impress i get.
as you said the problems and solutions are well known.
the issue is implementing them as you say
There's no political will, it seems, to tackle these issues. We can complain till we're blue in the face.

While you're waiting for the problems on that short list to be solved why not add "Develop a cure for cancer"?
Let Guyana use its newfound oil money, nah- make a hub

Real Caribbean Unity is only taken seriously when Caribbean people abroad buck up with racism.
Those that remain in Caribbean think it would be a good idea, the unity and its benefits, but low in the priority of things to be done. Blame the elected visionless for that, as a collective.
I always reference the price of bananas in Bim, at one point, in Supermarket, was close to $4 a pound, while Dominica had bananas they couldn't get rid of. Spoiling and wasting. I am sure the same with Guyana produce.
Also, the groups that have the monopolies in each island for imports, do not encourage or allow competition, and will do their best to kill competition that introduces cheaper products, especially food.
There's a well known one in Bim.

"We therefore don't need AI to tell us what to do".
....maybe so, but at least more folks will, in the future, have access to information that one would typically have to pay big bucks to a consultant to come up with, that only a few get to see, and even fewer get a chance to implement or act on.

Not a bad or far-fetched idea. Issue is resource availability and now that there's a new oil dollar window, why not? Even if outside companies get to pioneer its development, it will open economic possibilities for all.
