Shepy played in the same t20 tournament as Hety, will be leaving soon for WI duties and later the IPL... Yet he finding time to play in the inter-county for Berbice. He wanted to play at least one FC match before heading off to SA but CWI said no. Oh Shepy got a youngster too.
Keemo just came back from the SA T20.. Recently got his first child yet he's turning out for Essequibo.
Hety told the people that he's available, they picked him in the squad and then he pulls out a day before the match.. Should've told the selectors that he is unavailable from the inception or at least play the first match and then give that lame excuse... According to dem boys they get use to it... Normally tells dem that he will play and then momanger does advise him not to...

Why is it difficult for folks to accept that Hetty has gone away from red-ball cricket?
More tellingly, it's another thread set up to vilify a cricketer because his choices do not fit with our view of what he should be doing to suit us. You would think the opportunity given another player would be of more palatable concern!

he is a grown bum man to be accepting selection then pulling out at the 11th hour...that is the main point
it was highly speculated before he missed 'that' flight that going was contingent on certain things
he has to do better when others are involved...or else the last few still inclined to support him (not that he needs it) will stop

Every player plays with some motivation.... either to return to form, earn national cap or been told by administrator/ management to rectify some technical errors....In case of Hety, he was dropped for failing fitness test....then allegedly, Hety refused to board plane....when white ball team for South Africa series is selected....no communication from selectors to the public, who are largest stakeholders...regarding non selection of Hety or Lewis or Allen....
Why blame players... He doesn't play simply because he knows won't be selected for national team...better keep yourself fresh and injury free for IPL....
Hety did return home from IPL for birth of child..
My believe, once this entire team morons kick out after March election... picture will clear regarding non selection of Hety, Lewis or Allen...or why they not playing at home...

with what transpires in these parts you'd take that with a pinch of salt. ever wonder why you haven't heard the fullness of the missed world cup flight? just "high speculation".
Any ways the BCB knows what it knows and they have fielded a team that can win the whole thing. Who knows Hettie might play the next game. He may reckon he needs to hit a few before the IPL.

For them to release something like that yuh don't think the national selectors would have contacted the players?
