Good win - pity we didnt see the last 32 runs after tea.
We have dominated this series so far and cannot lose from here.
Well done my side.
Five fi Sinclair

Congrats West Indies A

yes, great win, not easy batting second. Thought Josh is really standing up to being a very good Cappo.

Awesome!! Wish we could have seen the conclusion as well. A bit disappointed that King wasnt able to see it through with Josh, but at least he got some runs when it mattered most!!

Agree - wanted Brandon to be not out here but Ill take the win
Congrats indeed.

this is so good news. that the guys are playing cricket in different conditions and fighting it out is good for their development
we should have at least 2 more A tours this year
WAS THAT THE REAL JOSH AT LAST? I maintain that he bats too low in the test team. It is always something special when the cappo brings it home for the team.
Congrats to all in the team effort. Everyone contributed and we are beginning to see glimpses of Sinclair being a pretty useful 4th inning bowler. What a year he has had! Special congrats to you, man

Nice won. Shame it was not carried live on CRICINFO.
The guys on this tour seem to play spin a lot better. I like the way the new guys like Kirk, Alick bat. Giving lots of hope.
McAlister has potential & Pace but bowls too Short. With good coaching we may have a good prospect in the short term.
In reply to Pacy
and look at his head position when he delivers. He is looking at mid on rather than down the pitch. He needs some real coaching but at least the pace and wilingness and some fitness appear to be there already

As long as he's better than OT, I'm happy.
Josh with 47 not out in both innings. I am sure same score not out in both innings has happened in FC cricket before.
Every victory by a West Indies team must be celebrated.
I hope management calls these young players and congratulate them.
It not easy to win matches in Bangladesh.
In reply to Chrissy
I hope by now they see that Reifer is not a # 3 batter!
FULL SCORECARD
2nd unofficial Test, Sylhet, May 23 - 26, 2023, West Indies A tour of Bangladesh
BAN-A 237 & 297
WI-A 345 & 191/7
W. Indies A won by 3 wickets
PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Kevin Sinclair
In reply to Narper
Is Kevin Sinclair the summersault (ok, flipper) guy?
If it's him, just imagine him in partnership with Cottrell and that 'famous' salute.
In reply to Narper
Good Job Guys.

With all the positives and kudos going around you had to find something negative to say about Reifer. Without his 58 or so tons over the 2 innings you don't know that we might not have lost the match. We lost the first wicket early in both innings so his runs and time at the crease were important in stabilizing the innings. Doesnt mean he is a no.3 but should be enough for you to praise the team without having a go at the guy's contribution
In reply to Logic
Correct
A strange thing happened in the second innings. Kevin St Claire was given out on the 7th ball of an over . The umpire certainly made a mistake when he allowed 7 balls to be bowled in that over. There was no wides or no balls in that over but 7 balls were allowed to be bowled in that over and Kevin was out on ball number7. It didn't make a difference to the results but it was a serious mistake made by the umpire .

is right. I think I get Dessie's take on Reifer now. Reifer is like the Old Pro. He does bits and bobs. None fantastically but all dependably. I would still like to see one of the younger bats get a chance at No 3 for the last match. I say that we should rest Tage, Reifer and Phillip and play McCaskie, Imlach and Permaul. I hope that will mean that everyone on the tour will get at least one match.

Sinclair

To say Reifer is not a number 3 batter is not negative, bro! Even the blind can see that he's batting out of position. I would be the first to say he deserves a run!
In reply to XDFIX
58 whole runs and you not happy?
No real WI #3 bat even if he hasn't played for a year and his form is unsure should never have to go on an A team tour to solidify his place.
In reply to Brerzerk
I suppose his fans are hoping that he makes a century in the final match in Bangladesh for him to "solidify" his test place at # 3.Or maybe a half-century will do the trick?

What about Reifer uh mean Bing?
In reply to sudden
What about Chase is a more pressing situation. He has played a total of 49 test matches but since the beginning of 2020 he has been atrocious
During the time from January 2020 to current he has played 17 test matches, batted 32 times and only passed 50 on 4 occasions. He has scored a total of 570 runs for an average of 17.81
In bowling he has also done poorly taking 26 wickets for 1410 runs at an average of 54.23
NOBODY IN INTERNATIONAL CRICKET CAN CONSISTENTLY PLAY WITH THOSE NUMBERS
BATTING AVERAGE 17.81
BOWLING AVERAGE 54.23
He is neither fish nor fowl.Neither batsman nor bowler.

What about Bing?
In reply to sudden
Didn't he sing with a 54 or that's no bling?
In reply to Brerzerk
He went to get match practice.
