Guardian Life have announced that they have entered a three-year partnership with the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL). This partnership will see Guardian Life continue to engage the wider community with the CPL with their Guardian Life CPL Cricketeers and Boundary Buddies programmes.
As part of this partnership Guardian Life will be giving away 2000 tickets to CPL matches to local schools in an effort to promote cricket to the young people across the region. This Guardian Life Boundary Buddies School CPL Ticket Giveaway will take place at all CPL venues.
Guardian Life will also continue to run their Guardian Life CPL Cricketeers volunteer scheme that sees hundreds of people work with the CPL to make the tournament the success it has become. These volunteers are an integral part of the CPL, and the tournament would not be the same without them.

Can someone explain Why these large Caribbean corporations are supporting only this lickit nonsense???
Why they not backing the ultimate form of the game???
Its almost as if they're trying to reach a wider audience, a young affluent audience!!
A relevant audience!
Its as if they know long-form cricket is irrelevant to modern consumers.
THem ent realise that the handful of fanatical test-loving pensioners constitute an untapped market??

I think a lot of it cause they can see the returns.
It's dollars over sense.
I think if WICricket can ahow how they and where the money in sponsorship is going they too can get thw same sponsorship. Plus I feel WI cricket sponsorship is a lot more than CPL. So again dollars vs cents.

CPL is separate from CWI, probably better managed.

it must be a case of the audience that CPL attracts but it is a pity that some of that sponsorship could not be put into our FC season. Maybe we need to see if we can tap the international tv market for the Caribbean diaspora for that season to make it more attractive to the regional business interests
