The late Othneil Downes aka Hitler was refereeing a football game. The ground and combatants escape me at the moment.
Anyway the fans of one of the sides were visibly and vocally upset by what they felt were egregious decisons by Mr. Downes.

This was made all too clear to the casual observer by the gesticulations and obstreperous vitriolic invective from the sidelines not to mention the fact that several members of the Big Rock family were now also present in increasing numbers by the sidelines.

Mr. Downes sensing that mischief was afoot with under a minute to go in regulation rode his big frame bicycle onto the middle of the pitch.
He did not blow his whistle sensing he may have need of every bit of air went peeeewe and took off across the field on his bicycle and down the road perpendicular head leaning and chin almost touching the handlebars.

One resident was later heard to say that he looked like he was sprinting to the finish line in the Final stage of the Tour De France.

Needless to say he never refereed at that ground again.
