That is my target!!

A minimum of 30 medals in Budapest!!
Or should it be 35 my fellow yardies?
Crazy prediction.
You must be trollin.
Is this for USA?
This has the potential to be our lowest for a while.
Ms. Alfred- St. Lucia could surprise big time and make Lucians real proud.
Not sure of the form Ms.Sada Williams is in but if at her best Bim could upset for even a Bronze
Yard could have slim pickings as no man is a sure medal and we don't seem to be able to work out a good
mix for the mixed relay.
Sherika seems ready
Shelly is always class
Our female long n triple jumpers should bring us something
Male and female throwers average outside chance
Relays will medal and if things are sharp the women could top US and threaten the record.
I leave the real analysis and postings to The Great Inimitable MikeSiva.

I take advice from RoyalDad and Joe Grine, who are more knowledgeable than me.
However, having watched all of the Diamond League, I'm concerned that Jamaica are not doing as well as we usually are at this stage of the season.
Last World Champs, Jamaica took home 10 medals. This time around, I will be happy if we get seven. That's my goal.

Very slim pickings. Shericka will win two medals. Shelly is unknown. We will get a couple relay medals. Brittany Anderson is injured so no hurdles medals. On the Mensa side look for triple jumper Jaydon Hibbert. He is in great form. Maybe we can also get a bronze in the mens 110 hurdles.
For the other countries, Alfred is a threat. Peters from Grenada isnt in great form but we will see. Thats pretty much it. .

Edit.. how in the world did I forget Steven Gardner in the mens 400. Well probably its because Bahamas doesnt play cricket so I was just thinking the characters on this message board. But Gardner vs Van Niekerk will be nice
How as the once perenial threat in sprints TNT fallen so far so suddenly? Saddening really. Just perhaps a Yardie male short hurdlervould sneak through. Is Tajae Gayle fit? Think we have a new 400m hurdler for the future but even if he develops there'll be a long wait. Many all-time greats in that event currently and all are young

Huh?? Who are you pandering to?
Gayle is fit and jumping. If my memory serves me well he even ran the first round of the 100 at trials. He is jumping but not at the previous medal form. The ex KC jumper Wayne Pinnock is doing well.
In regards to the 400m hurdler he is one for the future. I do think we can get a medal in the Mens 110 hurdles. By the way where is Omar McLeod? Seems to have given up
I edited my post above to include Steve Gardnier in the mens 400

Jamaica will medal in mens 110m hurdles, lately we always tend to over perform in that event when our best athlete compete in the finals, I expect no different here.

M 100M - slim chance for a medal
W 400H - at least 1 medal
W 4 x100 - 1

Mixed 4x4 - slim chance
W 4x4 - 1
M 4x4 - slim chance

By your own estimate that is a max of 15 not 12.

My conclusion is not a logical one it is based on experience of knowing that shit always goes wrong, like baton drop etc thus my call, track and field is not a exact science, athletes pull etc, so all things taking into consideration I will stick with my prediction which is just a best guess. It is also possible for we to get a medal like in the women 100mh as it is a race over obstacles, so we will win some and lose some, if all goes well we can exceed the 12 however I will trust my many years of knowledge, observation and experience to be my guide.

No one, during the 2000's there were about 3 women who were credible contenders in short sprints and long before they got busted so I do not think they were doped early on. THe men had about 6 good 400m runners, men like Thompson did 2 n 4 I think. Their relay teams were many times good for a medal and that's after we n US were sure bets. So, means they were up there with GB, Canada top European teams. Now I doubt they have one single track athlete even close to going past heats. That is an almighty fall! Aside from Yard, Cuba, Bahamas they were the ones to mine Caribbean gold...once upon a time
