In reply to camos
true.....but that is not going to be easy. elaine does not really conduct herself with the grace and general affability that sherika jackson and especially shelly anne fraser-pryce conduct themselves
In reply to Jumpstart
Elaine exalted herself, and has been humbled.
In reply to camos
He should NOT. That's being a Big man. Respect was due and breaking of ties should be conducted in
the approved manner. Franno has others on his plate that are worthy.
It is that sort of behaviour , conduct and lack of ' brougthtupsy' that is so prevalent in
the indiscipline that is foremost in JA.
Others should take note.
Lots of lessons to be learned here. Hope others do.
Always, ALWAYS break relationships in an amicable way.
Her sponsors must now be very concerned...and that is where the rubber could meet the track.
In reply to hubert
Did you see or hear of Elaine saying she wants to go back to him? I dont recall her asking to go back and he said no

Interesting.. that is exactly why asafa curse fans .. humbled. Elaine doesnt need to do anything else. She is the only female double double Olympic champion in history. Not Shelly..not flo Jo..not Gail devers. Not any of the doped up germans..not Marion Jones
not Carmelita jeter. She is the only double double champion.
In reply to FanAttick
Puma probably mandated it
In reply to rudebway
Whether she wants to or not..it won't happen. No way should Franno take her even if her Sponsor coaxed him.
As an athlete your sponsor pays for excellence. They don't want to have their product reduced from a star(barring injuries etc)
to being only a part of a relay on the International Level.
She is probably in grave danger of losing sponsor.
Welcome to International Intelligence 101.
In reply to rudebway
I wish her the best. Shelly is my favorite, but, when fit, Elaine is the best. Hopefully she gets back to her best. Will be great to her and Shericka in the 200M.
In reply to hubert
Thanks for your attempt at a lecture. However, if you note my reply to fanattick, I said Puma probably mandated it. That means Puma probably mandated she get a real coach. I am fully aware of the influence of sponsors.
Once you matriculate to International Intelligence 202, that class will cover how a few few years ago, Nike blocked Shelly from leaving the same Stephen Francis. She had gotten a house in st Elizabeth and was all set to go until Nike blocked it. I am aware how this works.
In reply to rudebway
Not to mention that she went to the greatest high school on the planet!

Unfortunately, when most of yall met me, I was a people-pleaser who lacked boundaries. Allow me to reintroduce myself. I burned bridges as needed, Thompson-Herah stated, captioning the photo
she may well regret making this post.
In reply to jahmekyah
Probably
In reply to Jumpstart
Never burned your bridges, it usually comes back to haunt you
I am an unrepentant Elaine Fan

Co-sign.. the lady from Banana Ground is the best the world has ever seen. I just wished she had eclipsed the 10.49 when she was at her peak
Maas Hubie, Yes, Elaine erred big time. But if her wish is or ever was to return then accepting her with clear terms would indeed make Franno a bigger man the he already is. And, Elaine would be humbler. The story of the washing of feet has allround lessons here
In reply to Brerzerk
Id heard that MVPs main issue with her is that once she left, she never publicly acknowledged the role they played in getting her to where she got.
If thats indeed what it is, then thats rather petty. First, its a given. Everyone knows who coached her then. And in any case, are athletes obliged to give such acknowledgement when they switch? Who else does this?
In reply to Da-Vincy
Frano missing a great teaching moment!
In reply to Brerzerk
Franno told you he wants to be bigger than he is ? Chuck that my friend.
In reply to hubert
He has a legacy that cannot be diminished but can be enhanced in the eyes of man and
any creator there is. Topping on the cake. At the end of the day our humanity is sometimes
what's best remembered
In reply to Brerzerk
look man. Stop being silly. Franno has made a decision. Live with it.
He took her to the mountain top already. He has no further to go with her.
Have you ever made a decision in YOUR Life that you will not rescind ?
Think about that for a moment.
He has told the WORLD that he does not want her back.
If he goes against that ABSOLUTE, he is no longer a man , BUT a Mouse. And one with
no credibility. Do try to understand that. He is not you or me or anyone else.He is who he is.
Everyone should Move the FACT on.
You are all behaving like Franno is obligated to her. He is not. He has moved on.
Elaine did not just err in the manner of her departure but in choosing a 'C'
grade or lesser coach to Move on with her career was the greater error.
She needs to engage another World Class A1 coach to continue her career.
It is as simple as that.
Personally if I hear of or see Elaine back under Franno's diection, I would
think very lowly of him as a man or person. His humanity is being a MAN of his words. That is what is LASTING.
That is A TEACHING Moment as well.
I done.

I've made many hard n fast decisions, manuy of them quite foolish too.Not saying he should take her back just that if it was to come to an ask it would be nice if he could bring himself to forgive a Prodigal. Would look good too. Won't happen from either side though
In reply to Brerzerk
I agree. I more see Glenn Mills taking back Yohan Blake than Francis taking back Elaine. Whatever fall out mills and Blake had at least took place behind closed doors, which in the era of social media is sort of rare. Francis and Elaines thing was kind of public
In reply to Jumpstart
Elaine speaks
In reply to FanAttick
I'm impressed, if she can keep focus and has a good coach she will 'Three-peat' at the Olympics.
Good to answer about Franno in two words only. No need to fester that wound any further.
Franno made a good and diplomatic insight in an interview- nobody can tell a Ooman nutt'n when she's in love and hussy inna her ear.
She haffi see the light to herself.
From that report she has decided not to return, wish her all the best!
takeways:
New coach is an addition, husband not fired.
Husband still has some say
new coach is on trial, if Elaine improve she will keep the coach .
Very calm and relax during interview
Puma may have insisted on it
