Very interesting

I am fascinated by this stuff but the article focuses on written and spoken but didn’t delve further back into first communication

The oldest sounds are clicks and puckers…I love the studies into early communication

The studies reported on chose written communications as their point of reference. Spoken sounds or body language certainly existed long before the written form. I would surmise tracing the roots of communication to the various sources would be close to impossible.
