Port-of-Spain needs urgent rescue..T&T Guardian

It is piquant that the incoming mayor of Port of Spain is depicted as having notable political pedigree coming from a distinguished political family. However, his uncle Former PM Manning appears to prioritize ambitious architectural ambitions over practical issues pertaining to infrastructure, which should be taken into account while analyzing the challenges facing this metropolis. The already serious problems in this city have been made much worse as a result. Did someone make an effort to secure various licenses that would have alleviated the existing concerns before the conception of these constructions? Obviously, the mission was not accomplished. There has been a dramatic increase in crime in recent years. The need for people to feel safe and secure as they go about their daily lives in their communities, take care of their families, and go to work calls for careful evaluation and deliberation in the area of policymaking.Poverty being the mother of crime.
The pervasiveness of poverty and joblessness demonstrates that punitive policies do more harm than good. In order to give a full picture of the issue of public safety, it is necessary to look at new evidence. My three main areas of interestthe built environment, community safety, and infrastructureare frequently interconnected in ways that those in charge either fail to recognize or ignore.
The disarray we see in Port of Spain is in part due to this omission or misunderstanding. For a city to thrive economically, socially, and psychologically, transportation networks must be in place. Allocating funds to investments in the present can solve a city's mobility needs for the foreseeable future. However, similar to the current conditions experienced in many urban areas, congestion and overpopulation may occur if the element of flexibility is ignored.Cities may benefit from improved health and safety thanks to newly implemented infrastructure improvements. The built environment has been shown to have a significant impact on the frequency of criminal acts in metropolitan areas, according to empirical research. Implementing stormwater projects has been shown to effectively reduce burglaries and drug trafficking in specific locations, according to research conducted in other cities. Keeping parks and other green areas well maintained has been linked to reduced crime rates. Studies have shown that reducing traffic congestion can help reduce domestic violence. Even small changes to street infrastructure, such as modifying sidewalks and implementing traffic-calming measures, can have a positive effect.
Therefore, these measures are essential to creating safer neighbourhoods. Research has shown that investing in infrastructure can help cities expand, people spend less time commuting, public transportation becomes more effective, and crime rates drop. Cities may improve residents' security, quality of life, and access to opportunities for social mobility by investing in their infrastructure.
Those who advocate for increased funding for infrastructure shouldn't assume the worst. Some creative efforts may be viable after careful consideration of their costs and benefits. However, rather than depending on governments' overall dedication to greater infrastructure expenditure, it is essential that decisions be taken on an individual basis. Port of Spain's rebuilding would require massive investments, thus its citizens should be thinking about creating a new, more cost-effective capital.
Under the present leadership of the country an impossible dream.

I am having fun being obstreperous towards the T&T Guardian Editors opinions for the last 3 months on certain topics.
Are you saying Trini's have a poor comprehension of the English language?
Unfortunately, I do not write to please society,we all have our own writing style. If I am happy with it so be it.
I try to see the other side by being vociferous, it's how I learn.

I avoid such as the plague, Have only joined one site sissycom, one handle and it has a mentally unstable individual seeing me everywhere . Even when I was banned.
I have been terrorizing the Editors of the T&T newspapers for years' ...I was even offered a job and politely declined

What salary range did they offer?
I might take ah chance
In reply to Halliwell
The salary range was determined on a per-blog basis, taking into consideration my limited availability due to other commitments. I would solely select regions that align with my personal interests. I acknowledge that my level of education may not be as extensive as yours, given your status as an Oxford graduate and other notable achievements. Consequently, it is likely that you possess the ability to demand a larger pay.
Within the framework of the topic at hand, there is an individual who will soon participate in this discussion who consistently has a strong preoccupation with my presence, perceiving my existence in various forms. I am metaphorically positioned within the interstitial space between the auditory appendages of this person. I dismiss the individual's presence.

You insult me!
The reason that we set up the very idea of Cambridge was that Oxford graduates were appearing more and more in the newspapers associated with less than noble pursuits.
In reply to Halliwell
Regrettably, I lack the necessary involvement and expertise to proffer an opinion regarding the increasing presence of Oxford alumni in newspaper articles linked to activities of questionable integrity. I will accept your statement as true. I patiently anticipate your assistance in connecting me with individuals of high moral character, to whom I may extend my sincere apologies.
No offence intended, your behaviour reminds me of Boris, who perceives words as insults.
I understand Rishi ignores such....
Alas ....the most interesting man in the world ...has returned
